One of Reno’s most celebrated golf courses can be found at D’Andrea Golf Club. The beautiful course, designed by renowned golf course architect Keith Foster, is characterized by what may be the area’s most dramatic views of the Truckee Meadow valley and spectacular Sierra Nevada. Stretching nearly 6,850 yards, the par-71 course meanders through foothills and high desert canyons, incorporating manicured greens and lush fairways. Mr. Foster expertly and thoughtfully integrated the naturally undulating terrain into the impeccably maintained layout, making for a course that demands accuracy and patience. The challenging and distinctive course, ranked among Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play” for both 2006 and 2007, will test all aspects of a golfer’s game.
The pleasurable experience at D’Andrea Golf Club continues with its magnificent Tuscan-style clubhouse. Sprawling 20,000 square feet, the clubhouse is situated atop a bluff that affords sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding valley and distant mountains. Guests will enjoy amenities on par with a private club, including luxurious locker rooms, a well-stocked pro shop and a superb restaurant and bar.
Practice facilities at D’Andrea are as impressive as the course. An elevated teeing area plays to four target greens ranging from 75 to 250 yards. PGA professionals are also on staff to provide group or private instruction.
