As the first course on the West Coast to be designed by Love Golf Design, a collaboration of Paul Cowley and Mark Love, the younger brother of Davis Love III, Crystal Peak Golf Course piques the golf lover’s interest. Located in Verdi, just 10 minutes west of Reno, the spectacular championship course is characterized by its dramatic natural setting and expert layout. Winding nearly 3,300 yards along a mile of riverfront at the base of the Sierra Nevada, the par-36, nine-hole course is as impressive to look at as it is to play. The immaculately conditioned Crystal Peak Golf Course surrounds the prestigious and exclusive gated residential community of River Pines, but the course is open to the public.

While the scenery is dramatic, the course itself is a challenge, particularly from the back tees. The well-guarded greens demand concentration, patience and accuracy, but the rewards for shooting true are truly great. Guests at Crystal Peak will particularly enjoy the two island greens.
